The wheat used for crushed wheat is sourced from the Western and Southern Cape only. Crushed wheat consists of slightly crushed wheat kernels, light brown in colour and the white endosperm is clearly visible. It is a primary source of Protein and also contains appreciable amounts of Minerals and Vitamins – especially the B Vitamins. Crushed wheat is best used in whole wheat bread recipes.
